Singapore trip

On wednesday morning, my mom burst into my room, where I was still sleeping soundly.

'Huey! Do you want to go Singapore?'
'Har? Why suddenly ask me that question?'
'Mrs Loo is driving down to Singapore, so there is still place in the car, so do you want to go?'
'Yay! Of course!'

Then we spent the whole morning looking for passports, see the expiry date. Whew! Lucky it's 2011, if not no way i could follow them to Singapore. On friday morning, after having breakfast at Maluri, off we go!The whole journey took us 4 hours, with stops in between. In the car, began ss, as it was really boring.

Me and Tiffany ; Wei Hong and Tiffany

When we were about to reach Malaysia's custom, Wei Hong took over as the driver, as Mrs Loo as a Singaporean cannot drive M'sian car. Later, we found that it is getting hotter in the car, and realised that the car's temperature has risen to a dangerous level. Immediately after passing Malaysia's custom, we stopped the car,and inspect the engine. The fan has stopped functioning, thus stop cooling the engine, and the water level is unusually low. We had to pour bottles of water to cool the engine. Didn't know that the car could drink so much water at one go..hehe.. Meanwhile its like sauna inside the car, it's really hot! While waiting for the temperature to drop, we had a picnic in the car, as it was already 4pm and we didn't had any lunch. As soon as the temperature dropped, we continued our journey.

What luck! We encounter another problem at the Singapore's custom. Since some of us fill in every detail and some put 3 days and some left it blank, we spent another half hour at the custom, with the officer questioning this and that. So mafan la! Then we head towards Mrs Loo's brother's house and left the car there. We took a bus to city plaza. Wow! their transport system is so effecient. We only waited like 5 minutes for our bus. Every 30 seconds there will be a bus. They even have TV on the bus for you to watch. So nice! Unlike our tansport system. Once there, we head towards Mrs Loo's Ah Sou's store, which sells 'mee hun ker'.Yummy! Besides getting it for free, we even have more ingredients than usual. How nice to know someone there.

After filling our stomach, Mrs chew, wei hong and Tiffany followed his uncle back home, leaving Mrs Loo, my mom and me. We went shopping at city plaza, I even bought a dress for my birthday party! Yay! Finally! Then we met up with Jack, Mrs Loo's son, who is soo handsome. Too bad didn't take a picture of him. So cannot show you. Blek! Jack brought us to another shopping complex , located at Bugis Street, where we just window shop. Guess everyone is soo tired after the 4 hours ride that we didn't have the mood to shop. Thereafter, after seeing us off in a cab, Jack went back to his place using the MRT.

The day is not over yet! After getting our bags at the Mrs Loo's brother's house, we head towards Mrs Loo's Ah Sou's place (from now on I'll call her Ah Peng). On the way, Ah Peng brought us to eat Satay Mee Hun, which is famous in Singapore, located at East Coast Lagoon. It's really tasty! Not spicy at all! Most suitable for me who can't stand spicy food.

At the parking lot, saw a car with cool hi-fi system and wanted to take a picture of it. The person saw me and move away to let me take picture...hehe..the picture is not so nice though. We then head to Ah Peng's house, which will be the place we sleep. Ah Peng's house is so big! Must be really successful to own such a house, especially in Singapore where the land prices are so high.

2nd Day
We woke up at 9am and had our breakfast at one of the local store. Had prawn mee for breakfast. Singaporeans are so curtious. They even line up when ordering food. We then went back to Mrs Loo's brother's place to pick up the car and sent it for service. Surprice...surprice, it's another one of Mrs Loo's relative, but this time need to pay :) Then we head to the housing board as Mrs Loo need to deal with her apartment or something like that. Then off we go to Orchard Street, by taking the MRT of course.

The 1st thing to do is to head towards the Louis Vuitton shop..that's my mom and her friends' intention. Thus while following them, took random pictures of orchard street.

See the person trying to stop me from taking pictures of the shop? Hehe..didn't know they don't allow us to take picture, so faster apologise to him and run after my mom. Met up with my aunt who is working in Singapore there. My mom told me and my aunt to walk around as they would take awhile shopping for handbags. So, the 2 of us left them and walk around the building. But as it were something like the garden in Malaysia, most things were branded stuff, thus only window shop. Did try on a dress too.. like it..but too expensive, thus only take picture of it.

They were having a japanese food fair at the mall too. It was really really crowded with people, now I know why they say in chinese 'ren san ren hai'. My mom called, and we went to meet them and had luch. Had sotong set and chicken set between the 3 of us. Singapore's food is really cheap, even cheaper then m'sian. Then we went shopping around again and met with wei hong, his mom and Tiffany. They said there was an event where TVB artist 'Ma de chong' will sing for free at 4pm. Before that had ice-cream with biscuit or with bread. I had the one with bicuit. Taste quite good too!

Then off we went to Bugis street where we found out it was actually 4.30pm. Thus went shopping around again before meeting back at the place. Only stayed for awhile to take pictures. Didn't really get close to them and had to take pictures with my camera raised in the air so the pictures turn out ok only. =)

Later, we back to take bath then had dinner at jumbo seafood restaurant.

Feeling sleepy, we went back home to sleep......zzzzzz.....

3rd day
Were supposed to leave at 3pm, however ended up leaving only at 6pm...hehe... The whole morning was spent shopping again. Today is the day which we bought the most stuff..clothes, shoes, one big bag full of clothes..=)

Really enjoyed myself this trip although didn't went to visit Sentosa Island or Merlion..On the way back saw the 'ferris wheel'. Forgot what it's called de.

See ya Singapore!
