Drowning

Why do people work so hard? For money? For their love one? No one know the real answer, do they? Cause it depends all on your perspective.. For me..I don't know the answer..

Just because you get a bad review, does it make you a poor worker? Again, I dunno..all I know is, because of that one review, my whole day has turned upside down. I always believe that I am easily persuaded..and here's the prove...a good review could cheer me up a 100%, up to the point that I can't stop smiling to myself..but a bad review? Poof! There goes my day..moodswing 100%..

What is my purpose in life? What am I really fit to do? Why do I feel like I can never do something good enough..or be that bit better than someone else? Why do I feel so average? And why can't I stop thinking about these questions now..do I really have no one special capability? Am I always destined to be just an average person?

Living Abroad

Have never realised how hard it is to live abroad, away from your family and friends, as well as all the luxuries you experienced at home. Recently, beginning to feel a little homesick. Feeling moody lately, and often feel sad. It scares me really, because I have never felt this way ever since the incident.

Am now beginning to appreciate life at home, the good food and luxuries that I have enjoyed, the care that my parents shown towards me. What they say is certainly through. You never know how lucky you are till you lose all that. Well, technically I didn't lose it, just being away from all that makes me more appreciative of what I have in life.

Seeing couples on the street, holding hands and acting all lovey dovey...ahh..how I wish I have someone like that too.. Someone whom can cheer me up whenever I am down, one whose shoulder I can lean on and cry my lungs out, one who I can share all my happiness with, my stories with...the big IF ONLY..my friend often console me by saying I for sure will find someone who will cherish me and love me. I get what they mean, but I'm getting abit restless here. Am beginning to think that I can never find that special someone. I know..I know, I shouldn't think that way..but I can't stop all these feelings..and its getting stronger and stronger, especially when I am all alone in my room. It overwhelming me! Help!

International buffet

Yesterday, me, Pei Ting, Pei Chin, Siu Hong and Stella went for these really super duper nice international buffet restaurant called Vienna. Its about SGD 31.50 per person for lunch from 11.30am - 3pm. But the thing is, I forgot to book for a place. Lucky thing is, they still have available seats. But, we have 2 choices..

If we were to seat outside, meaning non-air-condition, we can stay till 3pm. But if we were to seat inside the restaurant, we can only stay till 1.30pm before they shoo us away. After pondering for awhile, we decided to seat inside, as we most probably won't eat for so long.

We ate till about 1.30pm, took a group photo, then left the restaurant and went for window shopping at the nearby shopping mall till we feel really sleepy and decided to head back to our seperate home to rest.

Biscuits for sale!!!

Have been allocated to a client this past week and yesterday was my last day there. While working there, found a stall which sells biscuits and I was like going gaga over it. Haha, why? Because I absolutely love biscuits..All kinds of biscuits will do. You name it..chocalate, vanilla flavoured, coffee, even the plain round biscuits...love them all..

Anyway, the stall was like selling biscuits which you can find back home at pasar malam... and the biscuits tasted quite good. So after trying it, I called my besties in Singapore, Siu Hong the Pei's to see whether they want any. Ended up, I bought over $22 of biscuits. Haha.. but the things is, the stall owner is so meticulous..I buy so much also don't get discount! ish! Even when wieghing the biscuits also keep taking out 1 biscuit then another..like giving 2 extra biscuit will do anything...haih!

Alrighty then, got to get ready to go out de..that's all for now..stay tune for more updates! Caio for now...

Random thoughts

Just realised, for every chinese new year, I would be with my family from Day 1 all the way to day 15. This is the 1st year I am unable to be with them throughout the 15 days. Makes me realised something. I miss my family! I know, i know.. I have to be away from them to feel the pain.

Since this year's chinese new year is so short..having to spent only the 1st 2 days of chinese new year with my family, while having to travel back to Singapore on the 3rd day, I hardly had any time to hang out with my family, let alone having heart to heart talks with them. Lucky thing is, my sis is still here! So get to see her and chat with her throughout the nights. If not, won't be able to do so for another year...boohoo...

Family is the foundation behind a person's success or failure. Honestly, I believe that. What can you do with all the money and famous glory but without having a supportive family behind your back? I for one, would rather have my family with me all the way, then to give up on them for money and success.

Just a random thought that pop into my head...

kenny's wedding part 2

On the night of 1st of November, it's time for the bridegroom's side's dinner. It's held at pasir salak too, in a hall with almost 112 tables (wow! That's a lot of table).

It started out with the spokeperson singing a few songs.. followed by the dancers...

After that, it's time for the 1st singer invited specially for this function, her name is liu yan yan. Apparently she is a Malaysian singer, but i guess it's my parent's time, that's why we don't even have a clue who she is.

Then, it's time for the wine opening session and 'games session'..

Look at the amount of people on the stage! I've never seen such a big crowd standing on the stage before, until that day that is..

Here comes another Malaysian singer, forgot his name already, oops! However, he is amazing! At changing clothes that is! He changed 3 pairs of clothes during his performance. and each has feathers sticking out behind his back..It's really hilarious at that point. But come to think of it, the clothes were beautiful!

After it has all ended, it's photo session again! This time it's with my beloved aunt and her kids..and with the beautiful bride and leng zhai groom..

So So tired as it was already 1am when we reached home. Straightaway brush my teeth and wash my face and collapse on my bed. Another wonderful pair of couple has been borned! Wakaka..^^

Kenny's wedding part 1

It's time for another wedding dinner. This time it's my cousin Kenny's wedding. As usual, the bride's side's dinner will be held first. It's at Pasir Salak at 6pm..So, without further delay...here are the pictures..

1st of November is their wedding day. Early morning, my family drove all the way to Kenny's house at Pasir Salak to attend their wedding...Ahh...What a blissful wedding it was..

Then it's time for photo session. Look! The whole happy family..( Ok..ok, I know what you are thinking,how can they not be happy at a wedding?! Haha, but just so happy that my cousin has found a beautiful and kind wife ^^)..he is one of the cousin whom I'm really close with..

You saw what's on the car? Mickey and Minnie mouse! Arhh...so cute! I want one too!

Mummy's birthday!

Urhgh...sick again, vomited, had fever, and can't study. So, decided to blog about my mummy's birthday. It was on the 7th of November, which is the day my aunt returns to Australia after spending 2 months here..thus, we had the celebration in the afternoon instead...

Preview of Bangkok dangerous

Thx to HITZ.fm, I won 4 tickets to the preview of Bangkok Dangerous at 9pm in Gsc 1 utama which happen yesterday. I was having Mock Exam for p5 yesterday too, it was in the afternoon, so after my exam, I rushed home and took a bath before heading to 1utama for a dinner then movie. Too bad I only had 4 tickets, so can't bring my dad along for the movie too. So happens my aunt is staying at my house, so it's either my dad or my aunt, with my mom, sister and me.

We went to Dragon-I for dinner. The food there was delicious man! Especially when I am really hungry at that time. After ordering, my sis and I went to Sushi Groove 1st, as we had a RM 10 voucher expiring on 3oth of October. At first we chose to tapau Tempura, but the person said it doesn't reach Rm 10, even after adding tax it's less than Rm 10. So he recommended his all time favourite 'karakatau roll' ..and we only had to pay an extra 4o cents for it. And guess what? We even got another exact Rm 10 voucher in return, only it expires end of November. Worthy deal, right?

While waiting for them to prepare our food, we camwhored..

The guy who served us...he is a really nice guy... and the karakatau roll..I know it doesn't look nice, but believe me, it tastes really good, especially if you mix both the mayonise and the other sauce into it.

Then we went back to Dragon-I to have our dinner. At 8.30 pm, I went to the booth to collect our tickets while my family waited in the restaurant. Then dilly-dally a bit, then it's show time!













To be honest, the show was abit on the violent side...but nevertheless, it's overall a really nice movie! I think I'll give it a 4 out of 5.. but the ending was a bit sad though...go watch it! Then you'll know what i mean...^^

wedding day

The actual day of wedding is on thursday. Early morning, after dropping my sister off at Taylors for her mock exam, we headed to our grandma's house to help out with the preperation. Then it's time for the bridegroom to 'zip san leong' back to my his house. About 8 cars went to Hilton hotel, all the mens went, while all the ladies and my uncle stayed back.

We went into the house for about half an hour, still the 'ji muis' haven't managed to get into the house. They had to sing a song, even had to limbo rock. They managed to sing a song, but no one did the limbo rock, so still considered didn't pass. Finally, the 'heng dais' are willing to let them in, as it was getting late.

At night, went to my cousin's wedding dinner. Had fun there all night long. Didn't took any picture there as it would be the same old thing.

Here, wishing my cousin and his bride be happy together always, and as they say in chinese 'bak tau dou lou', and give birth to lots of healthy babies!^^

Cousin's wedding

The real wedding is on thursday. However, it's a tradition for both sides of the family to have a separate wedding dinner. So, on Sunday afternoon, my family all the way to Muar to attend the wedding lunch. (bride's side's dinner)

It started out normally, with both the bride and bridegroom making an appearance. Introducing....drumroll please...the bridegroom and bride (sorry got a much nicer picture of them, but the camera can't load it)...After that,the first dish is served.

About halfway through, with plenty of songs sung by family and friends, it's time to ask the bride and groom to open the bottle of champaign and to cut the wedding cake.



They even had to perform the traditional ritual in front of everyone, to signify their marraige.




After the wedding, since we are in Muar, we went on to try their famous 434 coffee..Have you ever had elephant coffee before? It tasted really good..

After that, we went to my aunt's coffee shop at Jerai. On the way, we stopped by to buy some dukong. Can you believe it? 11kgs for RM 10..REAL CHEAP.. and it's also really huge man..My aunt even treat us dinner, even though we said don't need. Later on, my cousins continued on to Melaka for satay jelak and their famous cendol, while my family went on home. Oh man! Really wanted to go to Melaka as well, but my dad was tired, so no choice, will go there some other day! ^^
