Cousin's wedding

The real wedding is on thursday. However, it's a tradition for both sides of the family to have a separate wedding dinner. So, on Sunday afternoon, my family all the way to Muar to attend the wedding lunch. (bride's side's dinner)

Wedding stage, my uncle(bridegroom's dad) , my grandma, aunt and cousin

It started out normally, with both the bride and bridegroom making an appearance. Introducing....drumroll please...the bridegroom and bride (sorry got a much nicer picture of them, but the camera can't load it)...After that, the first dish is served.

About halfway through, with plenty of songs sung by family and friends, it's time to ask the bride and groom to open the bottle of champaign and to cut the wedding cake.

They even had to perform the traditional ritual in front of everyone, to signify their marraige.

After the wedding, since we are in Muar, we went on to try their famous 434 coffee..Have you ever had elephant coffee before? It tasted really good..

After that, we went to my aunt's coffee shop at Jerai. On the way, we stopped by to buy some dukong. Can you believe it? 11kgs for RM 10..REAL CHEAP.. and it's also really huge man..My aunt even treat us dinner, even though we said don't need. Later on, my cousins continued on to Melaka for satay jelak and their famous cendol, while my family went on home. Oh man! Really wanted to go to Melaka as well, but my dad was tired, so no choice, will go there some other day! ^^

Up next, wedding day pictures and video

September babies!

Who are they? Of course it's the 4 pretty girls..pei ting, pei li, li yian and yi wen. Had steamboat at sunway mentari, the shop which has the honey chicken which everyone is always after. About 18 of us attended the celebration.

Yi wen and me ; pei ting and me

Yi lian and me ; pei li and me

Notice the change in hairstyle? haha.. it's because i ask yi wen and she said that let down nicer, so I let it down lo.

Steamboat with chicken soup and tom yam soup

They are so naughty, after blowing out the candles, they straightaway took out the candles and hide them. So as punishment, tatt hong took the cream (which is their name) and smeared it on their faces.

After that, gave out the presents and talk, talk, talk for a long time, then headed back home.

The guys didn't want to join in the group picture, so it's just the girls..

Saturday
Had P5 classes in the morning from 9am to 1 pm, to catch up what i had missed, since I joined p5 much later. The class supposed to end at 4pm but since already studied the rest in full time class , decided to skip class.

At night, went for a charity dinner held at Sri Sedaya. It was orginised by A.C.T.S. and the food were extremely delicious. Haha...didn't expect it to be that good, but wow! Good job guys! They even had performance all night long ..singing...dancing..oo..there's even belly dancing. I wonder how she managed to shake her butt that much..after the performance she went round collecting money and taking photographs and managed to collect about RM 1500!

Haha... they even had an Elvis Presley wannabe... his singing is really good too. His dance move really look like Elvis's too.. had the whole party riot, people keep shouting encore..haha..

Did my part in donating money too..had bought a handmade sling bag from the counter, made by the kids themselves. Felt happy that I too can contribute towards helping the disaster victims.

Sunday
Mooncake festival has arrived! Did everyone play lantern or had fun lighting up candles? haha...too bad I don't have any of those pleasure, since we went to my dad's house for yet another classmates gathering. It's really amazing that my dad and his classmates can keep their friendship in tact, having dinner or party at every occasion. 40 years is a long time, don't you think? Made me wonder whether we will be like that in the future.

Anyways, we had steamboat, and man! is it delicious. Had lotsa prawn, meat, vegetables, and even the wheather is helping us as it had been a rainy day, perfect for eating steamboat!^^

For desert, of course it's mooncake. How can you not have mooncake on mooncake festival?Had all kinds of mooncake..since everyone brought different types of mooncakes. Then chatted till about 12 am then decided to head home.

Here want to wish everyone a very happy mooncake festival! Hope you guys had lotsa fun lighting up candles and playing with lanterns! ^^
